History of six cities

Discover the evolution of Pamplona, Bilbao, Barcelona, Venice, New York and Chicago from home.

In these days of being at home, the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra proposes a virtual journey through live online classes in which the evolution of these six cities will be explained: Pamplona, Bilbao, Barcelona, Venice, New York and Chicago, through their maps, plans and documents.

In a brief and concise way the course will approach its geography, topography, landscape and the circumstances that have marked its urban evolution. Plans and images that summary its history will be studied. These and other issues that help to fill in the image of these cities and encourage to discover them.

Architect and professor of department of Projects, Theory and History and Urbanism, Luis Tena will be in charge of the course. He currently teaches Urban Morphology, City and Landscape in the second course of Degree in programs of study of Architecture and is tutor of project end of degree program in the Master's Degree Habilitante taught by the School in Madrid.

The sessions are based on the monographic classes on the history and urban elements of different cities that Professor Luis Tena has taught for years in his introductory courses at knowledge of the city.

registration and program

The registration in this course is free of charge. A maximum of 60 people can sign up for this course in the following formbefore March 27th.

During class it will be necessary to mute the microphone and turn off the webcam. Participants will be able to ask questions via chat. It is important to connect ten minutes before the session so that the teacher can authorize access.

All sessions will be live via meet and will start at 6 p.m. (Spanish time): Pamplona (March 30), Bilbao (March 31), Barcelona (April 1), Venice (April 6), New York (April 7) and Chicago (April 8).
