The III edition of degree scroll of Expert in Cutaneous Oncologic Surgery is inaugurated.
The program, developed by the University at partnership with Cantabria Labs, will incorporate the latest generation of face simulation models to apply the techniques developed in each session.

A new class of specialists in Dermatology has joined the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra to make up the III edition of the degree scroll of Expert in Cutaneous Oncologic Surgerydeveloped at partnership with Cantabria Labs. The program provides an additional specific training on the surgical treatment of skin tumors, from the initial oncological approach to the complete reconstruction of the defect resulting from surgery.
The inauguration of this edition was held on November 29 and 30 at the Campus of the University of Navarra in Madrid. It was attended by Dr. Pedro Redondo, director of the program, Dr. José Manuel Moreno, director medical doctor of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra in Madrid, and María Cuñat, Director of Institutional Relations and New Markets of Cantabria Labs.
"Our main goal is to provide a training in skin cancer surgery from an eminently internshipapproach", explained Dr. Pedro Redondo. "To do this, we offer the student an updated vision for the various types of skin cancer, so that they can have criteria to decide the best surgical option for excision and reconstruction, to obtain the best oncologic, functional and aesthetic result ."
The program is taught in a hybrid way (online with a weekend in Madrid) and consists of 12 ECTS credit distributed between November and June, organized in 9 theoretical-practical modules and an end of program work degree scroll . It uses the clinical case methodology, and part of the classes are taught using a graphic tablet with a screen to make them more participative. As a novelty, this course will incorporate state-of-the-art face simulation models to apply the techniques developed in each module.
