Fina Trèmols is the new Delegate for Communication at Schools . Isabel Solana, who has held this position since the 2010-2011 academic year, joins the ICS. Institute for Culture and Society (ICS). 

 

 

Activities outside the campus

Juan Chapa participated in the 27th International Congress of Papyrologyheld in Warsaw. He also participated in the congress 'The Last Years of Paul's Life', organized by the Institut Superior de Ciències Religioses Sant Fructuós, in Tarragona. His discussion paper was entitled 'Roman Legal Procedures regarding Roman Citizens convicted of Heavy Charges in First Century AD'.

 

 

César Izquierdo gave a talk at discussion paper 'Faith as a response' at the Symposium organized by the Archdiocese of Lima (Peru) on the occasion of the Year of Faith. On the other hand, at the Pontifical and Civil Theology Faculty of the Peruvian capital he gave the lecture 'Keys to Vatican II'.

 

 

 

Juan Alonso ends his ten-month research stay in the USA. From August 8-10, 2013 he attended the National Newman Conference, organized annually by the Newman Association of America. The congress was held at Walsh University in Ohio.

 

 

 

Javier Sánchez Cañizares gave a course on theological update in America, in the cities of Mexico DF -together with Antonio Aranda-, Montalvo (Ecuador) and Lima (Peru). He was also invited by the Nicolás Copernico University (Torun, Poland), to collaborate with the launching of the international journal Scientia et Fides, which will be published by the School of Theology of that center and in which he collaborates the group of research 'Science, Reason and Faith'..

 

Carmen José Alejos has worked in several Mexican archives and libraries for the research 'Libertad religiosa en México en el siglo XX'. This is part of the project 'Libertad religiosa en el siglo XX', directed by Professor Rafael Escobedo, from the department of History of the University of Navarra.

 
 
 

Santiago Collado participated in the workshop 'Determinism and indeterminism: from physics to Philosophy', which took place at the Universidad Austral (Argentina). He was speaker in the session of the first day, 'Philosophy of science. Physics asks Philosophy'.

 

 

Pablo Blanco stayed at the Ludwig Maximilians-Universität in Munich with Prof. Gunther Wenz. He focused on ecclesiology in the Catholic-Lutheran dialogue.

 

 

 

Jorge Otaduy spoke at the second edition of the 'Church-State Meetings', organized by the Provincial Court of Valencia at partnership with the Judicial Vicariate of the Archdiocese. His discussion paper was entitled 'Church and labor relations. Religious teachers; priests and religious in the service of civil entities; Church employees'.

 

 

Ramiro Pellitero gave two conferences at the XII Jornades Interdiocesanes de Catequesi 'La alegría de creer y de comunicar la fe', at the seminar Conciliar de Barcelona. They dealt with 'The Catechism of the Catholic Church in the history of the Church' and 'The Catechism of the Catholic Church in the training of the catechists'.
