Included in the portfolio of inventions are those that have at least one transcript of application patent or patent granted active in June of each academic year -for those of the University- or in September -for FIMA- . Patent applications include the total issue of active patent applications (pending) and granted patents.

In the case of FIMA, this includes all patents generated, both those owned or co-owned and those owned by third parties but generated in the context of a research contract at CIMA.
