She is a Ramón y Cajal researcher at School of Medicine at the University of Cadiz.

María García Alloza, PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra, is a Ramón y Cajal researcher at the School of Medicine of the University of Cadiz, where she leads a group of work on Alzheimer's disease.

After obtaining the extraordinary award of doctorate in the department of Pharmacology of the School of Pharmacy, María García Alloza worked for five years at Harvard University and was one of the five Spanish scientists who obtained a scholarship of research L'Oreal-Unesco.

Currently, this former student is working on the relationship between neurodegeneration and the deposition of beta-amyloid proteins, which are fundamental to understanding the processes of Alzheimer's disease.
