The students of the Master's Degree University in management of Pharma-Biotech Companies of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition started in March 9 months of internship at business. Adriana García was clear from the beginning that she wanted to live this experience from an international perspective and worked from day one to achieve it: "It took me two months from the time I started the search until I signed the contract. Looking for work was a work in itself; I spent at least 1 or 2 hours a day looking for offers where I fit in, sending motivation letters, filling out my profile on work... Out of about 100 applications I was called from 8 and finally I had 3 interviews for positions in Lille, Brussels and Amsterdam".

He finally decided on the latter city and is now interning at Stryker, one of the leading medical technology companies, which offers innovative products and services in orthopedics, medical and surgical equipment. "It was calling me because they work in areas that really appealed to me, such as sports medicine. In addition, I found out about business online and it had won the award best workplaces award several times and Forbes magazine also describes it as a business with an ideal culture and environment to work in," explains Adriana.

At business, Adriana García works at department in marketing for Orthopedic Instruments, at area in traumatology and sports medicine. "I asked for it and the flute played," she confesses. Among his duties is to send a report to all European hospitals that have order material to inform them of the status of his order. "Some come from Kalamazoo or Cork, and sometimes it's difficult for the hospitals themselves to keep track of them, so we offer them this service free of charge".

Although his biggest project is to make a guide on small bones that the company will supply by the end of September to all sales reps so they know how to position and sell their products. "I haven't designed it yet, but I have in mind to include chapters on market sizing, specifications of our products, procedures on the operating room (maxillofacial, foot and ankle, and hand and wrist skulls, mainly), analysis of the skill, and past competitions and bids at large hospitals," he explains.

For an international experience like hers, Adriana García recommends planning ahead, although she believes that the selection processes are similar to national ones, with the exception of language. "Most international companies use Linkedin and new offers come out every month. In the end, it's a question of putting your heart into it."
