40 Pharmacy and Nutrition students to spend 5 to 10 months at foreign universities
In addition, 27 international students will study this year at School of Pharmacy.
During the 2016-17 academic year, a total of 40 students from Degrees of Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics will carry out part of their programs of study in 25 centers in 11 countries. The duration of the stays will be, in most cases, 10 months.
This figure represents an increase of 25% over the previous year. The center has 61 agreements of exchange with universities in 23 countries in Europe, Asia and America that allow its students to opt for an international experience that completes their university training and prepares them for today's borderless labor market.
According to the coordinators of the international mobility of the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, professors Carlos Gamazo and Pedro González Muniesa, "In an increasingly global world, a overseas study period not only represents an appropriate way to improve a language, but also generates enrichment in other personal and social values difficult to quantify". "It is a fact that unemployment among young people with Erasmus experience is 23% lower (according to a study by the European Commission), they are also more enterprising and, as the Italian Sofia Corradi, promoter of this international mobility program said, the Erasmus program, "makes better people to those who take advantage of it", underline those responsible.
27 international studentsOn the other hand, the School has welcomed the international students who will study part of the Degree at campus. In total there are 27 students from seven countries. For all of them, the School prepared a welcome workshop with different talks and presentations with the aim of orienting the students for the beginning of the course goal .
