Charity golf tournament against pancreatic cancer

The "Memorial María Eugenia Burgos de la Iglesia" will be held this Sunday at the Ulzama Golf Club to promote the research developed by the Cima University of Navarra on this disease.

On Sunday, October 6, the Ulzama Golf Club will host the charity golf tournament "Memorial María Eugenia Burgos de la Iglesia". The funds raised will be used to promote the research on pancreatic cancer that is developed in the Cima University of Navarra.

This charity event is an initiative of Cima, at partnership with the Garnica de la Iglesia family and the Ulzama Golf Club, with the support of Helpify, the fundraising platform of Cima. 

Registrations are limited (maximum 150 players) and are priced at 30 euros (20 euros for members of the Ulzama Golf Club). It includes a welcome pack, an aperitif between holes 9 and 10, and special prizes for the winners of the different categories.

After the awards submission , at 7 p.m., a charity raffle will be held with more than 50 gifts (Driver donated by Carlota Ciganda, Garmin golf watch, beauty treatments, Green Fees, tasting menus, golf equipment, etc.). The event will end with a cocktail.

María Eugenia Burgos de la Iglesia, from Tudela, passed away in 2015 at the age of 42 due to pancreatic cancer. Since 2017 her family has promoted a project of research at Cima that focuses on seeking innovative therapeutic strategies for the treatment of this disease.

"Mauge is present in our hearts and every time we remember her eternal smile we are happy to know that this line of research so necessary is due to her report", assures her family.
