The School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra has awarded the Extraordinary Prizes of doctorate corresponding to the 2012-2013 academic year. In Arts and Humanities the award winners are José Luis Requena Bravo de Laguna and Paloma Vargas Montes; in Educationin Philosophy, Daniel Doyle Sánchez.

José Luis Requena made his thesis on:"Princeps monachorum: Arte e Iconografía de San Juan Bautista en los siglos del Barroco Hispano" and his director was Ricardo Fernández Gracia, director de la Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art. He currently works as Adjunct Professor at the Antonio de Nebrija University of Madrid where he teaches a subject in the master of art market and related companies, work that makes compatible as a cataloguer of ancient painting in Segre auctions in Madrid.

Paloma Vargas ' thesis was about "Contribución a la etnohistoria de México: edición crítica del Libro de los ritos (1579) de Diego Durán (OP) cronista novohispano", and was directed by Miguel Zugasti Zugasti, Professor de Philology. He is currently working in Mexico.

Araceli Arellano defended the thesis : "Qualities of the family as a context of support for the self-determination of people with intellectual disabilities" and its director was María Felisa Peralta, professor of the School of Education and Psychology. Currently, she is teaching assistant professor doctor of the department de Education. She is in a research stay at the Popular Autonomous University of Mexico from January to July 2014.

Daniel Doyle is currently researcher of the project 'Natural Law and Rationality internship' of Institute for Culture and Society (ICS). His thesis , directed by Alejandro G. Vigo, Full Professor of Philosophyis entitled "The Stoic Doctrine of Oikeíôsis. Historical-systematic reconstruction of the foundation of morality in Stoicism".
