Jesús de la source and Elena Arbués, new Vice-Deans of the School of Education and Psychology

They will be in charge of the Vice-Deanship of research and Alumni respectively.

The President has appointed Jesús de la source Associate Dean of research of the School of Education and Psychology. Jesús de la source is Full Professor in the area of Evolutionary Psychology and Education. A professor at the University of Almeria since 1993, in 2018 he joined the School of Education and Psychology of our University, as director of the Master in General Health Psychology.

He has focused his academic and research activity around the Value Chain research and development+I, applied to Psychology. Author of numerous national and international publications, he has directed 4 projects research and development with a wide international projection and participated in a total of 10 projects research and development. He is founder and publisher principal of the Electronic Journal of Research in Educational Psychology and is currently publisher associate of Frontiers in Psychology and Learning & Individual Differences. Since 2012 he is a member of Recognized Prestige of the Division of Educational Psychology (committee General of Psychology of Spain).

In addition, the President has appointed Elena Arbués as Vice-Dean of Alumni at School of Education and Psychology. She replaces Sonia Rivas at position .

She holds a degree in Teaching from the University of Zaragoza and a degree in Pedagogy from the Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia, a master's degree in Marriage and Family and a doctorate in Education from our University. For ten years she has developed her professional work in various educational centers. Since 2011 she is a professor at School of Education and Psychology. Her teaching is focused on the didactics of experimental sciences and on the social and civic aspects of Education.

Since 2016 and to date, he has directed the Master's Degree University at academic staff. Member of the group of research at Education, Citizenship and Character (GIECC), his priority line of research is the Education civic, the Education of character and the promotion of social participation.

The Dean of the School of Education and Psychology thanks Aurora Bernal, until now Vice-Dean of Office of Academic Affairs, for her availability and work of governance carried out with professionalism and study. Professor Bernal has effectively taken care of academic and management tasks in the successive Departments of Education, within the previous structure in the School of Philosophy and Letters, and in the new School of Education and Psychology, as vice dean of Office of Academic Affairs, which is consolidated with 4 Degrees, 2 double Degrees, 4 Master's Degree and a doctoral program.

He also thanks the work of Sonia Rivas, vice dean of students, in a stage of beginning and substantial growth of the School. Her orderly and serene character has helped to establish a instructions of work that will help those who follow her in this task.
