Emotional culture and identity

Mariano Crespo gave the lecture 'A Key to the First Phenomenological Schism: A Misunderstanding of the Husserlian Account of Ideal Objects' in the congress International on Realistic Phenomenologyorganized by the International Academy of Philosophy and the high school of Philosophy Edith Stein. (Granada, 18-21/09/2015).

Carlos Beltramo attended by special invitation the Opening of the ADF International Office at the United Nations Human Rights committee in Geneva. José Ignacio Murillo participated in the IV interuniversity colloquium Science and Religion, organized by several Colombian universities: Universidad del Rosario, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Universidad del Valle and Universidad de La Sabana (Colombia, 16-18/09/2015). In addition, he gave the session 'Neuroeducation and paideia:partnership or conflict?' at the Menéndez Pelayo International University within the summer course 'Technological singularity, human enhancement and neuroeducation'. He also moderated the subsequent discussion on 'Neuroeducation' between the speakers Francisco Mora and Jon Andoni Duñabeitia (Santander, 2-4/09/2015).

José Miguel Carrasco was awarded for the communication 'La imagen de los cuidados paliativos en la prensa escrita española. JM. Carrasco, M.García, M. Arantzamendi, K. Woitha, E. Garralda, J.Errea, C.Centeno' which he presented at the congress Iberoamerican Epidemiology and Public Health in Santiago de Compostela. He also attended the pre-congress course 'El approach socioantropológico en la vigilancia epidemiológica y las políticas de SP' (Santiago de Compostela, 2-4/09/2015). She also coordinated the meeting 'Waste of knowledge. Derroche en research y traslación del knowledge a la internship. Una aproximación desde la ética y la salud pública' organized at the Public Health Summer School of Menorca by the group of work of ethics and public health of SESPAS, Fundació Grifols i Lucas and the International University Menéndez Pelayo. (Menorca, 21-22/09/2015).

Angela Miceli presented 'The Spirit of Liberal Learning: Reflections on the Cowan Method of Teaching the Liberal Arts' at congress 'Liberal Arts and Sciences and Core Texts in the European Context' at Amsterdam University College. (Amsterdam, 11-12/09/2015).

 

Daniel Moulin used the archives of the University of Oxford to prepare a article on Leo Tolstoy from September 4-14. He presented it at the lecture 'Wide Wide World of Leo Tolstoy', organized by All Russia State Library for Foreign Literature, the Moscow Institute of Translation and the State Museum of Leo Tolstoy in Yasnayna Polyana (UK, 18-20/09/2015).
