Students from School Pharmacy and Nutrition take to the streets to promote safe and effective drugs
13 students participated in the tent set up by the high school Official Pharmacists' Association of Navarra on the occasion of World Pharmacists' Day.
A group formed by 13 students of 5th year of Degree in Pharmacy collaborated on Saturday September 28 with the high school Official Pharmacists of Navarra to celebrate World Pharmacists Day. Specifically, they participated in the tent installed in the center of Pamplona, between the streets Tudela and García Ximénez, as a healthy information point on various topics related to the pharmacy office. This initiative is part of the service learning activities at subject Estancias Tuteladas.
The goal was to show different facets of the pharmaceutical profession, through various free activities such as skin analysis -so that patients can know their Degree hydration, fat, pigmentation or elasticity-, determinations of body composition with the latest technology or measurements of calcium intake for promote bone health.
Under the slogan "Effective and safe medicines for all", the students also carried out informative and informative work to raise awareness about the rational use of medicines, the use of medicinal plants in the pharmacy, financial aid to smoking cessation, personalized dosage systems, the prevention of childhood obesity, guidelines to win the battle against head lice or the importance of vaccination.
