Lydia Morell (Barcelona), Astrid Sánchez (Guatemala), Jaime Azanza (Pamplona) and Antonio de Pitarque (Zaragoza) have received the 'scholarship University of Navarra-Banco Santander', for the realization of postgraduate program in the School of Pharmacy. Morell and Sanchez are studying the EuropeanMaster's Degree in Food, Nutrition and Metabolism (E-MENU), while Azanza and de Pitarque are students of the Master's Degree in research, development and Innovation of Medicines.

This financial aid, granted by the bank through Santander Universities Spain, covers 35% of the cost of the enrollment of each postgraduate program. The new scholarship holders of the master's degree programs of the School de Farmacia tell us what this scholarship has meant to them and their impressions of postgraduate program.

What does it mean to you to have received the 'scholarship University of Navarra-Banco Santander'?

Morell: An honor and a privilege, since they also value the academic excellence of the applicants. In addition, it has allowed me to study the Master's Degree E-MENU at the University of Navarra, for which I am very grateful.

Sánchez: To help me fulfill a dream. The University of Navarra is a prestigious center, but its cost is very high. I worked very hard in my country to be able to afford the enrollment of the Master's Degree E-MENU and my stay in Pamplona. The scholarship allows me to better study this postgraduate program which is a leader in Food, according to the ranking of the newspaper El Mundo.

Azanza: The definitive push for me to opt for MIDI. Although it was my first choice, I was considering other master's degrees because of their high cost. I chose this one because, as a Biologist and Biochemist, it complements my training very well and opens up other fields and areas of work.

From Pitarque: A great satisfaction, both staff and economic. It recognizes the effort and desire that I have put throughout the degree program and, once finished, the truth is that the recognition is always appreciated.

What do you think of postgraduate program so far this year?

Morell: Very complete, as it covers a lot of new and interesting knowledge. Also, the fact that part of the classes are in English is helping me to get closer to the scientific literature and new advances in the field of food.

Sanchez: Very interesting. Nutrition has advanced a lot and I am learning new things. It also allows us to know all the areas of work of dietitians in Spain, a reality very different from that of Latin America that enriches me a lot and opens a huge window to know where we are going.

Azanza: I am happy, learning a lot of new subject and discovering perspectives that I did not know before, but it is a quite high level of demand that requires an important dedication.

From Pitarque: This Master's Degree is considered one of the best and, once I finish it, I hope to be able to work in the pharmaceutical business . So far I am liking what is taught at class, but I would not leave the subjects related to the pharmaceutical industry for the last months.
