The program of meeting has included a total of 19 presentations by researchers and artists from Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain and Peru.
On November 26 and 27, the International congress "(Cervantine lessons between two centenaries ( #Quixote2015 / #Cervantes2016)" was held. The meeting, organized by the group of research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra, has counted with the partnership of the high school of programs of study Auriseculares (IDEA) and the group of research Calderón (GIC) of the University of Santiago de Compostela. The coordinator of the congress was Carlos Mata Induráin, University Secretary of the GRISO, while the academic administrative office was Mariela Insúa, administrative assistant and academic coordinator of the GRISO.
The program of the meeting included a total of 19 presentations by researchers and artists from Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain and Peru. The congress has had a marked interdisciplinary character, with papers that have addressed various aspects of Cervantes' work from the Philology, the history of literature, the essay, history, art, cinema, etc. The academic sessions have been completed with a visit to the Museo Universidad de Navarra (MUN) and the attendance of the congress participants to the show "Escrito por Teresa de Ávila", a dramatized reading of Teresian texts, at position by Julia Gutiérrez Caba, in the Theater-Auditorium of the MUN.
This congress in Pamplona is one of the activities organized by the group de research Siglo de Oro (GRISO) of the University of Navarra to celebrate both the IV Centenary of the publication of the Second Part of Don Quixote (1615-2015) and the 25 years of history of the GRISO team (1990-2015). Throughout 2015, GRISO has co-organized, at partnership with various universities and cultural institutions, other conferences on Cervantes and Don Quixote in Bogota (Colombia), Tetuan (Morocco), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Arequipa (Peru), Delhi (India), Mexico City (Mexico) and Saint-Étienne (France).
