The Museo Universidad de Navarra has presented to the sector educational the programs designed for schoolchildren to help in the educational work of schools.

In the introductory session, Jaime García del Barrio, director general manager of the Museum, spoke first, highlighting the special commitment that the Museum has with the training of children and young people, as they are the future of society, and also because of the very nature of the new art center, which is born in the heart of a university campus and, therefore, with a greater didactic vocation.

The Regional Minister of Education of the Government of Navarra, José Iribas, thanked the University for the contribution of a museum of these characteristics to Navarra, and encouraged the centers to join the initiatives they consider of interest to achieve their educational objectives.

Fernando Echarri, manager of the Museum's educational area , presented the programs aimed at schoolchildren. He was accompanied by Josune Ilundáin, a student of the more than 50 volunteers at area, who presented presentation in Basque. Both presented the nine educational programs, adapted to eleven educational levels, from 0 to 18 years old. In addition, they offered partnership to design tailor-made programs for all those centers that require special content not included in the general program. This possibility was very well received by the educational centers, as it facilitates the creation of tailor-made activities for the learning of all disciplines.

"We seek to promote skill 'learning to think'; we want to help people build a more complete vision and understanding of the world in which we live," said Fernando Echarri. From the Museum's collections and exhibitions, the aim is to promote Education and creativity in all areas of knowledge, both Humanities and science, "with a clear commitment to integrality and multidisciplinarity". In this sense, current topics of social and environmental interest have also been incorporated.
