The 54 first year students of the Degree in attendance of Management Management Assistants started the 2020-2021 academic year with a Welcome workshop at Amigos Building on Monday, August 31. Fifty of them did it in person and four others telematically, due to the impossibility of leaving their country due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Of the total number of students joining the first year, 18% are international students from ten different countries, 50% are from Navarre and the remaining 32% are students from different Spanish provinces.

Maricarmen Erviti, deputy director of ISSA School of Management Assistants, Naiara Ardanaz, first year coordinator, and Cristina Mancebo, delegate of Admissions Office, were in charge of welcoming them and accompanying them on their "landing" at the University of Navarra. In addition, gathered in groups of 8, wearing masks and keeping safety distances, the students of the second, third and fourth year councils guided them during their visit through the campus.

Miren, Pablo, Paola and Andrea are four of the new first-year students:

MIREN AZNÁREZ (PAMPLONA)

"I would like to be able to work abroad in the future and learn about new cultures."

"I am a former student of San Fermín Ikastola. I have always been at contact with languages because I have been able to travel abroad since I was a child, so one of the things that attracted me most to Degree was the opportunity to be able to work abroad in the future and get to know new cultures. I speak Spanish, Basque, English and a little bit of French. I like sports a lot, especially skiing and tennis, and I even ride longboards around the city.

Regarding the measures against COVID that the University is carrying out, I think it is very good that they are doing PCR tests to all students and also the fact that they are distributing us in different groups.

PABLO MORENO (PAMPLONA)

"I speak French, English, Spanish and during the degree program I would also like to learn Chinese and German."

"My advisor at high school Irabia told me about this degree program. I was very attracted to the project-based learning methodology and the internships. In addition to languages, which I have always liked very much and I have always been quite good at them. I speak French, English, Spanish and during the degree program I would also like to learn Chinese and German.

Tomorrow I would love to be in charge of sporting events, especially extreme sports. I would also like to travel. I play basketball and also downhill longboarding.

I face the course with a strange feeling because of the coronavirus, but with great enthusiasm and a great desire to learn".

PAOLA BUONANO (PANAMA)

"I liked Degree because of its versatility and the variety of employment opportunities. Also because I love languages."

"I always wanted to come to study at the University of Navarra, but it was clear to me that I didn't like the conventional Degrees like Law or Engineering. I went to the University's website and discovered the Degree in attendance de Dirección-Management Assistants. I liked it because of its versatility and the variety of employment opportunities. Also because I love languages. I speak Spanish and English on a regular basis and also a little bit of Italian.

Considering the pandemic, what really convinced me to come and study this course was that PCRs would be done on all students and employees of the University".

ANDREA ESPÍN (DONOSTIA - SAN SEBASTIÁN)

"I face the course with a desire to work hard."

"I knew the University because my father had studied at Tecnun. I chose the Degree in attendance de Dirección - Management Assistants for its subjects, especially for the languages, and for the employment opportunities it has. I practice sports in my free time, also horse riding and handball. I am looking forward to working hard during the course".
