The twelfth edition of the cycle"Training to understand disability", organized by Tantaka, the Solidarity Time Bank of the University of Navarra, in partnership with the Iddeas Foundation, began on February 3. The first session, entitled"The right to dream", was position by Laura Toranzo, lawyer and legal advisor for the hearing impaired in the Ilunion group of companies.

Throughout her speech, Laura stressed the importance of the support of her environment:"We can't achieve anything on our own, there is always someone around us who gives us a helping hand". She also stressed the importance of inclusion not just being a theoretical principle, but a reality in all areas."Accessibility is being invited to the party, but inclusion is being asked to dance," she quoted, recalling a phrase from a Netflix employee, "Be that person who asks someone to dance."

From Ilunion, Laura and her team work to transform the world of justice, promoting a model in which people with disabilities are not only represented, but also lead the defense of the rights of others. "In our legal advisory service team 70% have a disability. We want to change the vision of justice to be more inclusive, both in the legal sector and in society in general," he said. He also highlighted his participation in the Talento sin Límites project , an initiative that promotes the professional development of people with disabilities and their incorporation into the labor sector.

At the end of the session, attendees reflected on the need for structural change in accessibility and the importance of inclusive universal design . Laura insisted that the real barrier is not in disability, but in the lack of accessibility of products, services and environments. "We must eliminate the belief that the barrier is in the disability. The core topic is in making the world accessible to everyone," she concluded.

The "Training to Understand Disability" series will continue on February 10 with a session on the more inclusive side of AI in which Enrique Varela, an expert in social technology, will speak on "AI; a last big step in the degree program of inclusion".
