370 students in 5th and 6th grade Medicine of the University of Navarra have taken the ECOE (Examination of Competencies goal Structured), which evaluates the skills acquired by the student during the internship clinic in a set of areas.

80 professionals (professors and resident doctors), have evaluated the students over the course of two conference in which they had to pass different testsdifficult to assess with a conventional examination, such as communication skills, ability to obtain information, work as a team, professionalismand other more practical ones such as giving stitches or correctly performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

The exam consists of a set of "posts" that the student performs sequentially. On the evaluation criteria, the Dr. Manuel Alegre emphasizes that "in each of the positions, score sheets are used with a specific issue of items that value different aspects".
