Costa Rican architect Carlos Jiménez, based in Houston, gave a lecture at lecture at the classroom Magna of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. He is one of the four guest lecturers of the 5th year Project subject during the first semester.

Carlos Jiménez graduated from the Houston School of Architecture in 1981 and established his professional practice in Houston in 1982. Since then he has received numerous awards and his work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world.

He has combined his intense professional work with an activity professor carried out in American and European universities. He has been a professor at the Rice School of Architecture since 1987, and a member of the jury of the award Pritzker Prize since 2001.

Among his most outstanding works are numerous residential buildings such as the Saito, Lott and Davis-Mosteller houses, all in Houston, and also cultural buildings such as the Administration and Art School for the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Art Workshops building in Williamstown (Massachusetts) and the new Art Center at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He is currently planning a civic center in Gandía, which will be his first project in Spain.
