Patty Olmedo, winner of the XVI edition of the Pop, Rock Singer-Songwriter Competition

'The Sis' and 'H13' ranked second and third, respectively

Pedagogy student Patricia Olmedo (Patty Olmedo) has won the XVI edition of the Pop, Rock, Songwriters Contest of the University of Navarra, organized by Cultural Activities Office.

The second award of the competition went to 'The Sis' formed by Miriam and Isabel Fernández Rastrilla; and the third to the band 'H13', formed by Juan González de Echávarri, Ander Eugui Gil, Julen Arbiol Oiz, Javier Vives Mañeru and Eduardo García Núñez.

The jury was formed by Tomás Gómez-Acebo, Vice President de Alumnos; María Pilar Encabo, head of the Coordination Department of the Ciudad de la Música; Idoia Altadil, regional director of Onda Cero Navarra; musicians David Martínez, Carlos Lázaro and Fermín Unanua; and Iñaki Llarena, from 98.3 Radio.                    

Also participating in the final, which took place at the Theater of the Museum of the University of Navarra, were the groups 'Gato Negro' and 'Carlos Walnuts' and the singer-songwriters Fernando Fernández Hinojal and Enrique Ortega.

The event was presented by Marta Revuelta and Jaime Martul, from Cultural Activities Office, and featured a performance by group 'Banana Bluezz Band', winner of the XV edition of the contest.

Enrique Ortega : "Death on the sidewalks" and "The wind that moves the clouds".

Patty Olmedo "You're still the light that shine in me" and "Rain".

Carlos Walnuts: "Sputnik" and "Red Lights".

The Sis: "Melting Swallows" and "Aires de tormenta".

Fernando Fernández Hinojal: "La noche" and "Ghost".

H13: "The following day" and "Reality".

Black cat: "Al otro lado de la valla" and "Parece mentira".
