Four graduates of the School of Sciences obtain one of the 28 places in the biochemistry residency program

Four alumni of the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra have obtained place in the biochemistry residency program (Biólogo Interno Residente). The graduates managed to obtain one of the 28 positions offered for the whole of Spain in the 2015 call for applications, and two of them obtained a place in the top ten.

They are Miguel Fernández Huerta (8), graduate in 2014, Pedro Fernández Echauri (16), graduate in 2005, and Alexia Flores (26), also in 2014, and the Catalan Gemma Vila (10), graduated in 2013. The four will be able to choose their places on April 9.

800 registered for 28 places

As Pedro Fernández pointed out, "the preparation has been very hard, especially because there were very few places on offer, we were about 800 registered for 28 places, so it was necessary to have at least 190 net questions, being 225 the maximum score ". This was also underlined by the Catalan Gemma Vila, who assures that she decided to take this professional path "because I am passionate about clinical area , I have always wanted to wear a white coat".
