Inmaculada Serrano, new director of programs of study of the University of Navarra School of Nursing
She replaces Amparo Zaragoza at position , who will continue as director of the department de Nursing Care for Adult Patients
Inmaculada Serrano Monzó has been appointed new director of programs of study of the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra, replacing Amparo Zaragoza. Inmaculada Serrano graduated in Nursing in 1981 from the University of Navarra. In 1984 she completed the specialization program in Obstetric-Gynecological Nursing (Midwife) at the University of Navarra. Clínica Universidad de Navarra. In 2001 she graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of the Basque Country and in March 2010 she defended her doctoral thesis at the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra.
She has participated in different works of research and scientific publications, as well as in different committees for the organization of scientific meetings. From 1981 to 1984 she assumed the academic administrative office of the School of Nursing. From 2003 to 2006 she was deputy director of the department of Community and Maternal and Child Nursing. She is currently an associate professor of this department and coordinates the program of the Midwifery specialization program at Clínica Universidad de Navarra.
Amparo Zaragoza will continue as director of department of Nursing Care for Adult Patients, position which she has held since 2007, and is manager of internationalization of the School of Nursing.
