177 graduadas de Enfermería de la Universidad de Navarra participan en la reunión quinquenal de antiguas alumnas
177 nursing graduates from the University of Navarra participate in the five-yearly meeting alumnae meeting.
At the meeting, organized by the School of Nursing, special tribute was paid to the graduating classes of 1959 and 1984.
177 graduates attended the five-yearly meeting of alumnae of the University of Navarra School of Nursing, organized by the Alumnae Association of the academic center.
The ceremony began with Holy Mass at chapel of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. Afterwards, the students of the 59th and 84th graduating classes - celebrating their 50th and 25th anniversaries, respectively - signed the School's Book of Honor. In the Academic Act, the director of the School, Mercedes Pérez, pronounced the words of welcome; which were followed by the speeches of the representatives of the graduating classes celebrating their 50th and 25th anniversaries: Ana Osés and Mª Mar Lacunza.
Likewise, the meeting continued with a roundtable entitled "Advancing Nursing Care to Transform the World", moderated by Professor Carmen Asíain -from the class of '64, which was also commemorating its five-year anniversary- and in which the other teachers of the School, Mª Isabel Saracibar, Mª Carmen Portillo and Agurtzane Mujika, also took part.
In their presentations, the specialists tried to show the progress that the programs of study and the profession have experienced in recent years; as well as the development of Nursing Science, the main lines of research carried out by the School and its future objectives.
The event ended with a meal, where the attendees gathered according to their class to remember their years as students at campus.
