The former student of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra has received the award thanks to her work for the development agricultural and livestock
Josune Zamora, a graduate in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Navarra, has received the 2009 Gaztenek award , a award promoted by the Basque Government to recognize the work of people and projects that promote the development agricultural and livestock sector in the autonomous community.
The graduate of School of Pharmacy set up her own farm in 2007, oriented to distribute the production in restaurants in the area and in the market of Irun, where she has a stall. The dietician-nutritionist also has two stores in Hondarribia.
According to the manager of diary 21, Ion Elizalde, "it is exciting that a person can make a living from what he/she likes. In that sense Josune is very happy because, in addition, this award is a recognition to the work made and an impulse to continue doing it".
The ceremony submission, which took place at the Mendilibe Palace in Leioa, was presided over by the Basque Government's Minister for the Environment, Territorial Planning, Agriculture and Fisheries, Pilar Unzalu, and the Basque Government's deputies.
