Through a partnership agreement, the Cima makes available to CEN members its SARS-CoV2 virus detection service by PCR testing.
The Confederación Empresarial Navarra (CEN) and the Cima University of Navarra will collaborate in the protection and safety of workers in the companies and environments of work. Specifically, through the signature of a partnership agreement, the research center biomedical offers its SARS-CoV2 virus detection service, the virus that causes this disease, to the members of the business group.
The testing service will be available to CEN member companies and their business associations with more than 50 workers, which will be able to apply for the PCRs through the e-mail epis@cen.es. The Cima has developed an efficient and rapid COVID-19 analysis technique that allows complete sampling to detect both symptomatic and asymptomatic cases in groups of interest.
As Dr. Mª Pilar Civeira, director of Cima, explains, "following our mission statement of service to society, we have made it available to the CEN to collaborate in the development of the professional activity in a safe way".
For his part, Carlos Fernández Valdivielso, University Secretary of CEN, points out that "for us it is a priority to keep companies open and for Economics to remain active, for which it is essential to work on prevention and protection against the virus". Mr. Fernández pointed out that this initiative is in addition to others that CEN has already started up, such as the grouped purchase of PPE at partnership with SODENA, and he emphasized the effort and commitment of companies in Navarra to adopt safety measures, which is generating "a low incidence of contagion in the workplace".
