The University of Navarra will be the venue for the XVI edition of the XVI edition of the congress International Theory of the Education (CITE) will take place.which will be held on May 21, 22 and 23. seminar Likewise, a few days before, from May 19 to 21, it will also host the 42nd edition of the Interdisciplinary Theory of the Education (SITE).

The CITE -which is held every three years- has as its theme in this edition "A transformative Education in the XXI century". The congress will reflect on whether this is a new approach at Education and how to approach it from a pedagogical perspective; as well as questioning the ethical perspective of this Education in relation to people's identity. 

To answer these questions, Education will be analyzed from different perspectives: philosophical, psychological, pedagogical; what implications it has in a digital society, how it relates to the organization and the educational management , and how it affects the different partner-educational areas such as the family, the school, the work or religious communities.

In this edition, the congress will have three speakers to give the main conferences. Marisa Musaio, full professor of General and Social Pedagogy at the Catholic University of Sacro Cuore (Italy). She directs the Pedagogy, person, possibility collection of the publishing house Mímesis, and her research has focused on educational care and financial aid relationships, educational fragility and poverty, urban regeneration and social inclusion projects, pedagogy of beauty and Education aesthetics, educational promotion of aesthetic experiences, beauty and art, Education intergenerational, care and well-being in the elderly. 

On the other hand, Fernando Gil Cantero, Full Professor of Theory of the Education in the department of programs of study Educational School of Education of the Complutense University of Madrid will participate. Member of the group of research of Anthropology and Philosophy of the Education (GIAFE). award 'José Manuel Esteve' of the University of Málaga (2012).
