Two professors from the School, members of AEFAS

Two professors from the School of Pharmacy and Nutrition, Concepción Tros de Ilarduya and María Jesús Moreno, have been appointed members of the board Directive of the association Spanish Social Pharmacy (AEFAS), an institution founded in 2010 to ensure the dignity of the profession and the pharmacist professional and to defend the care aspect of Pharmacy.

Following the general assembly held last February 4 at the high school Official Pharmacists of Madrid, Professor Tros de Ilarduya has been appointed treasurer of the association, with the tasks that this implies in terms of the management of funds and accounting or the preparation of annual budgets, among other functions. Professor María Jesús Moreno will occupy the position of administrative assistant of the association, in charge of working together with the president, managing the corresponding conference proceedings , issuing certificates and communications, etc.

Likewise, AEFAS also has as mission statement the protection of patients in the healthcare environment, the promotion of partnership channels with all those professionals involved in the healthcare process and the development of activities aimed at training and technical, cultural and scientific prestige of pharmacists.

Chaired by José López Guzmán, also a professor of Pharmacy at the University of Navarra, this association brings together professionals from all sectors: community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, distribution, public health, universities, etc., as well as professionals from other fields such as law, medicine, biology, nursing, sociology, human resources and Philosophy.
