On February 7, the research team received the financial aid to the research granted by the UNED of Tudela, Caja Navarra Foundation and Obra social la Caixa to the project "The transition to adulthood of adolescents from the Roma community in Navarra. Analysis of their future expectations and proposals for improvement".

The project raises as a central variable of study "the expectations of the future, which are a fundamental basis for the establishment of goals and decision making during adult life. Specifically, a field study will be carried out at Education compulsory secondary school to provide us with data from gypsy students about their future expectations", said Mª Ángeles Sotés, who explained the project on behalf of the team. We will also collect data about the experiences and expectations of a group of gypsy families (fathers and mothers) about the academic, labor and staff future of their adolescent children. All of this will be based on four areas: academic, economic/labor, welfare staff and family.

At the table that presided the act of submission were present the promoters of the financial aid and various public authorities: Luis J. Fernández, director of the UNED of Tudela, Agustín Sola, director of the Store Office of "La Caixa" in Tudela and Javier Fernández Valdivieso, director of the Caja Navarra Foundation, Nekane Oroz general director of Universities and Educational Resources of department of Education of the Government of Navarra and Eneko Larrarte, mayor of Tudela. The event was also attended by Ainhoa Aznárez, President of the Parliament of Navarra.
