20030307The University of Navarra signature a agreement with FCC Construcción

The Foundation business -University of Navarra and FCC Construcción S.A. have signed an agreement partnership agreement by which the construction company business will grant a sum of 48,000 euros for the year 2003. This amount will be used to finance four scholarships for Latin American students to study the Master's Degree in Architectural design (MDA) offered by the School of Architecture at campus in Pamplona.

The agreement was signed by José Mayor Oreja, chairman of FCC Construcción, and José Mª Bastero, President of the University of Navarra and vice president of the Foundation, who expressed his gratitude for this partnership "which is a great stimulus in the year of the University's 50th anniversary". He also expressed his purpose hope that "this is the beginning of a more extensive partnership ".

A specialized training

Each scholarship to attend the Master's Degree in design Architectural will have an amount of 12,000 euros. The Foundation business-University of Navarra will be in charge of managing the grants directly and the selection of the beneficiaries will be made by a jury made up of the management team of Master's Degree.

The goal of this agreement is promote the specialized training of professionals who contribute to the improvement of the construction sector. The MDA offers, for small groups of students, design courses taught by university professors and architects from different countries. Its goal is to improve the job prospects of students inside and outside Spain.
