Fermín Labarga, new director of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences of the University of Navarra

Professor Fermín Labarga has been appointed director of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of the University (ISCR), replacing Professor José Manuel Fidalgo, who will continue his work professor and research at School of Theology.
D. in Sacred Theology and in History, until now he was director of department of Historical Theology and Deputy Director of the magazine yearbook of History of the Church. He will combine his work as researcher in the group of research "Trento en el mundo hispánico. Individual, social and cultural renewal".
He has given classes and lectures in numerous places in Spain and Latin America (Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Chile and Italy...) and has published more than fifty articles in collective works, dictionaries and journals, as well as several monographs. He has focused his research field on popular religiosity, and especially on the world of confraternities, in which he is considered an international expert.
