Alfredo Martínez Hernández has just been appointed Secretary of the European Federation of Nutrition Societies. This Full Professor is a professor at the University of Navarra, director of the department of Physiology and Nutrition, of the Distance Courses of Nutrition and Health of the campus pamplonés and advisor of the European Union on topics related to nutrition. He was president of the Spanish Society of Nutrition (1999-2001) and became a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy in 1997.
high school Professor Martínez previously carried out academic and research work at the Universities of Nottingham (UK), Berkeley (USA) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA. He is the author of more than 350 publications, a hundred communications at national and international congresses and more than 40 book chapters on nutrition and obesity. He has received several awards in his scientific career.
