Six graduates of the University of Navarra's Science School have obtained one of the Navarra International Internship Scholarships awarded for the first time by the Regional Government to encourage internships in international centers during 2012.

The grants, which amount to €5,432 at average , cover round-trip travel, living expenses, insurance and visa costs. The stays of the graduates will last six to seven months and, in the case of the alumni science graduates, will take place in centers in the USA (2), Canada, Australia (2) and Peru.

The graduates who have obtained the scholarships are Biochemistry graduates Natalia Isabel Torrea and Patricia Montilla; Beatriz Cadenas, Óscar Palacio and José Ignacio Mira, biologists; and chemist Iosu Estremera.

Grants have been awarded taking into account the criteria of transcript academic (20%), strategic interest of the internship for Navarra (20%) and the suitability of the internship to the professional profile of candidate (60%).

According to the counselor of Economics, Álvaro Miranda, the regional government plans to repeat these aids next year. Likewise, the leader warned that this year the budget destined to this item was not exhausted, for which there were more aids than those granted.
