Sandro Rosell was at the University of Navarra this Friday to talk to students at School about how to manage a business in the world of sport. He was accompanied by Cristina Cubero, sports journalist, and Carmelo Paniagua, president of the Royal Spanish Skating Federation.
During his speech, Rosell reviewed his professional career at degree program , in places such as the United States, Qatar and Brazil. One moment he particularly highlighted was the Barcelona 92 Olympic Games, where he was a member of the Organising Committeecommittee , as "it was a moment in which the whole country came together for a common reason. That's why it went so well. Because we all came together as one".
In this sense, Rosell made it clear what one of the fundamental objectives must be for a person who wants to dedicate themselves to the world of business: "You have to look for talent, for those people who are really brilliant at what they do. You must not be afraid of them being better than you are, because that is precisely what will make you improve".
For him, having worked for most of his degree program in something related to sport is something he is very grateful for: "If you work in something you like, you do it with a much greater passion and a feeling of rootedness". In that sense, he is clear about what he recommends to students: "When you choose your first work, don't think about the salary, but about whether you like the place you are going to or not.
