30 professors meet at the II Lección Maestros
Professor Álex Navas spoke at the session to talk about his career as professor of the University.

Some thirty professors participated in the II Lección Maestros de la Universidad. The event, graduate "Experiences at the University of Navarra", featured the intervention of Professor Álex Navas, retiring in 2022, who was interviewed by Alfredo Gea, Associate Dean of the School of Medicine, and María Guibert, professor of the School of Philosophy and Letters.
During the session, Navas referred to his arrival at the University in 1968. "I wanted to understand the world, and I decided to study Philosophy. That was my first contact with the teaching", he recalled. Years later, in 1989 he gave his first class "sitting down and with papers". However, after that he would never do it the same way again and decided to do it "always walking around, asking people and looking them in the eye."
Throughout his career as a teacher he has always followed the same criterion, not to tell anything on class that one is not interested in oneself. "Following the German approach , what interests me will also interest the students," he explained. At the event, he was asked about his decision to be professor at the University of Navarra and after all these years he has no regrets. "I have traveled to the best universities in Europe but I have never seen cleanliness and beauty together like here."
