As a result of partnership agreement between the School of Law the University of Navarra and Labormatters Abogadosschedule the 2nd workshop update Labor Law Social Security update the UNAV-Labormatters Abogados Labor Relations Observatory.
The workshop on various highly topical issues related to internship the field of labor relations. To begin with, our Of Counsel Yolanda Cano Galán, Professor of Labor Law Social Security at Rey Juan Carlos University, addressed the growing body of novel judicial and jurisprudential doctrine regarding new types of leave (caregiver leave, leave due to family force majeure, parental leave, weather-related leave, breastfeeding leave, etc.). Next, our partner Gonzalo Núñez Sarompas, a work Social Security Inspector on leave of absence, discussed the main practical issues that fixed-term/intermittent employment raises for our organizations (grounds for termination, part-time work , on-call work , calculation of severance pay, etc.).
After the break, Ignasi Beltrán de Heredia, Full Professor Labor Law Social Security at the Open University of Catalonia and a member of committee Observatory’s committee Experts, analyzed the main controversies surrounding work time work classification as work time, recording of workshop, overlap of holidays with weekly rest periods, etc.). Finally, with the participation of Supreme Court Justice and Full Professor Labor Law Social Security Antonio V.
