The CAMPUSHOME accommodation company from Navarra is sponsoring the exhibition "El arte de cuidar, organized by the School de Enfermería. The director of development, Nicolás Iribas, explains the reasons why the company has supported this exhibition, the result of the partnership between the School of Nursing and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra.

What is the main activity of CampusHome?

At CampusHome, we welcome students from all over the world to our apartments-residency program , and provide them with a global university experience within our ecosystem, our universe. We make it easy for you to make your experience in Pamplona like no other.

What is the Philosophy that moves you? How has your evolution been?

We are driven by people. We are very non-conformist because the attention to our residents makes us go further than anyone else in the sector of accommodation for students. It is this passion for people that has made us the largest university community in Navarra.

Is a accommodation of students betting on a cultural project compatible?

Of course! For us it is vital not only that our residents feel at home, but that they have the possibility to rely on CampusHome and their community to develop as individuals, which includes projects and Cultural Activities Office as is the case with The Art of Caring.

What led CampusHome to participate in a project such as exhibition The Art of Caring?

Contribute. We want to be present in the lives of people related to the university, to be an actor that you know you can count on. We are passionate about our world, and we want to be an active part of it.

Why do you recommend visiting exhibition El arte de cuidar?

It is a beautiful project , in which vocation is a common thread. When we heard that the School of Architecture and the School of Nursing were coming together in such a project , knowing that 2020 was such an important year for nursing, and a year in which nursing was so important for all of us, we did not hesitate to participate. And we believe it is important to raise awareness of the nursing profession, as it is more present today than ever before.

To what extent does CampusHome, like business, relate to nursing?

Since CampusHome was born, we have hosted several students from Degree and postgraduate program nursing, as well as from other health fields. We feel that we have collaborated in making the training of many people the best, but at the same time, we think that they have not always received the attention that the work they do deserves. That is why we celebrate that The Art of Caring is a reality.

Why do you think it is important to support initiatives like this?

It is good to put ourselves in the spotlight. The care that nursing provides is very human and staff. It involves not only technical preparation, but also physical and emotional sacrifice. It takes place in a real context, with real repercussions on the lives of individuals and their families. This subject of initiatives reminds us of that humanity that we often only dwell on when we are the ones who need that support.

In your opinion, what role do you think nursing has in today's healthcare system?

I think everyone agrees with agreement that nursing is what makes the health system work today. Really, the health system needs all the people who work in it network to function, but the work of nursing is fundamental from such different perspectives that you cannot understand a solid health system, from a global point of view, without a solid nursing with the tools and support it needs.
