Kepa Burusco, graduate in Chemistry in 2001 by the School of Sciences, visited the University of Navarra to give a lecture lecture about his current work in Manchester. During his visit, he also recalled his time in the classroom and his professional career.

"Three years ago I came to England with a Marie Curie scholarship to the School of Pharmacy at the University of Manchester. There I am part of the group of Computational Biophysics and design of Medicines under the supervision of Dr. Richard Bryce", explained this scientist from Navarra who dedicated himself to Chemistry "because I always found it fascinating that by means of reactions some things could be transformed into others".

The chemist pointed out the importance of studying outside Spain or doing periods of research abroad. However, "I would recommend students to choose a center with a high academic level. The choice must be based on quality, content and, in the case of scientific-technical degrees, on infrastructure and laboratories," he added.

Finally, he emphasized how studying at the University of Navarra gave him"seriousness and appreciation for the work well done" and recalled his time as a student where "the professor filled the entire blackboards with sequences of chemical reactions that we copied. Nowadays, that is no longer a memory because the slides are projected, the material is posted online and students can download the syllabus from the Internet".
