"In the priesthood is my path to happiness."

"We all seek happiness in our lives. At one point in my life, I discovered that the priesthood was my path to it," says Jan Romanowski student of the School Ecclesiastics of Philosophy. He is 29 years old and is from Radun (Belarus).
When he was 17 years old he entered the seminar in Grodno. "For a long time the decision was growing in me," he says, and at the age of 24 he was ordained a priest. Five years have passed since then.
In 2015, the bishop of his diocese encouraged him to come to the University of Navarra. "Even though I thought how difficult it was going to be for me, I didn't hesitate to say yes." Now, looking back, he is sample very grateful to the benefactors and professors, for whom he prays every day.
In Spain he has had the opportunity to train and also to live experiences such as the Camino de Santiago. He did it last summer: "It helped me to understand that, in the face of difficulties, you always have to move forward. Besides, I was able to talk to and confess to some pilgrims with whom I still go to contact".
A great fan of soccer and Real Madrid, in these two years he has taken advantage of some of his free time to practice this sport. Friday afternoon games at 5 pm were a regular quotation on his diary whenever he could. He played with other teammates from degree program on the courts of the University.
Happiness is a topic that he has not overlooked. So much so that it has even been the central topic of his thesis end of licentiate degree: "The concept of happiness according to Robert Spaemann". He therefore speaks with knowledge of cause. In June he will conclude his programs of study. He will then return to Grodno (Belarus). There he would like to help the young people of his diocese "to find their way to happiness".
