Rodrigo Vinueza moved from Ecuador to Pamplona to study the Master's Degree in research Biomedical, seeking "to receive an integral training " that would allow him "to be an excellent researcher but, above all, a great human being".

Along the way, he has also obtained one of the 47 scholarships awarded by Banco Santander, through Santander Universities, to students at the academic center. For him, this financial aid is"one more incentive to create a stronger commitment staff with my training and tofurther increase my demand to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge". In this sense, he recognizes that the scholarship Santander "has been a great support to be able to train with my family in Pamplona".

Among the objectives of postgraduate program were to strengthen important concepts inherent to research -such as human dignity, ethics and morality-, to identify the most current hypotheses on the causes and interactions between genetic and environmental factors in certain neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases, and their pathological markers, as well as their therapeutic alternatives.

Having started the postgraduate program, he acknowledges that the Master's Degree has met his expectations: "In addition to the high academic level -which goes hand in hand with its demand-, I am sure that it is a choice in line with my passion for Neuroscience. In fact, it has changed my perspective on this subject. I now believe that although the diagnosis of the disease is still important, it is undoubtedly necessary to strive to identify more precisely the causes and the treatments that act on them".

In the near future Rodrigo aspires to do the doctorate at the University of Navarra: "I am passionate about the field of teaching and the research . In this sense, the CIMA and the University represent the ideal environment to achieve my goals".
