workshop welcoming the 105 international students of School of Economics
Students from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania

Andrew, 23; Charmaine, 21; and Caitun, 20, are studying business at the National University of Singapore (NUS). After an eventful trip due to the cancellation of their flight, this week they began their adventure at the University of Navarra. "I found it a very welcoming place", describes Andrew, who among his first impressions confesses that the Friends building is what most caught his attention: "I was expecting everything to be older, as European universities are more classical, but I see that this building is very new and modern". In his first visit to Europe, Andrew sees his stay in Pamplona as an opportunity to "get to know the culture, make lots of friends and learn new things". He shares these plans with Charmaine, who will be studying business at School in Economics for the next six months. Charmaine defines the University and Pamplona as "a welcoming and friendly place" although the cold, she admits, has caught them by surprise. Caitun explains that "we are not used to such extreme temperatures" compared to the climate in Singapore.
Like Andrew, Charmaine and Caitun, 105 students from 24 countries were welcomed at School in Economics. The International Office and the students of the Buddy Program, members of the international committee of the School, have been in charge of organizing the welcome. This is the case of Sergio García, from 3rd year of Bilingual ADE, who has just arrived from his exchange in Canada, buddy of the Ukrainian Mark Podola; or Eva Samper, from 2nd year of ADE, who has welcomed Tsz Ching Kam, from Hong Kong.
Throughout the week, students from Europe, Asia, America and Oceania, will be able to learn about the culture and gastronomy of Navarre, through a tour of Pamplona; visit San Sebastian, capital of European culture 2016; or ice skating, among the various activities organized both for those who continue the exchange they started in September, as for those who have just started their journey in the School.
