10 tips to get the most out of the Business Forum

This Thursday, March 13, from 9 am to 7 pm, at Amigos Building, the XXII edition of the Business Forum will take place.

This year, along with the traditional stands of business (34 will participate, including KPMG, Leroy Merlin, Visconfan, Johnson&Johnson, Caja Rural and ACR), the Forum will feature 12 free participation activities that will bring dynamism and networking among participants.

The goal: to facilitate your search for professional opportunities with advice on employment international, cv revision in English, improvement of profile on LinkedIn or tips for freelancing.

So, if you are going to attend, don't forget these 10 tips:

  1. Study the participating companies
    Check the list of companies that will be attending and look for as much information as possible about them: what projects they are carrying out, if they have professional opportunities that match your profile, etc. Choose the ones you are most interested in.

  2. Updated resume
    Update your resume, revise it and adapt it as much as possible to the companies. you have selected. Take several forms with you to submit. The Career Managers of your School can help you to correct or improve it.

  3. Self-knowledge
    Before the Forum, think about what you can bring to the companies. Think about your level of English or other language, your professional skills, your knowledge, etc. It is useful to identify your strengths and areas for improvement.

  4. Introduce yourself to companies
    Take advantage of the time business gives you to introduce yourself with a short speech, highlighting your strengths and your competitive advantage. Rehearse it before the workshop so that it comes out fluently and naturally and prepare possible questions in case there is an opportunity for an interview.
