Eight students from School in Economics awarded scholarships for international internships
Thanks to the III Global Internship Program they will travel in summer to countries such as the USA, Mexico, Bolivia, Brazil, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea.
Fundación business University of Navarra and Caja Rural have awarded 50 scholarships for international internships. In this third edition of the Global Internship Program, eight of the beneficiaries belong to the School of Economic and Business Sciences. With funding amounting to 1,400 euros, they will travel in summer to the USA, Mexico, Bolivia, Brazil, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea.
This program aims to promote professional internships in foreign entities and promote the internationalization of the students of the University of Navarra. For the awarding of the scholarships, the academic transcript , the level of the language of the destination country, the curriculum and the quality of the work plan offered by the host business have been taken into account. The list of those selected can be consulted on the website of the Foundation business University of Navarra. The students of the School of Economics selected are the following:
- Cristina Navarro (5th Double licentiate degree in Economics and Law): Spanish Embassy in Bolivia.
- Pedro Nozal (4th Double licentiate degree in Business Administration and Law): business Owens Corning in Mexico City.
- Patricia Natasha Arrieta (4th Double licentiate degree ADE and Bilingual Law): Consulate General of Spain in New York.
- Leire Zubillaga (5th Double licentiate degree Economics and Bilingual Law): Embassy in Bata (Equatorial Guinea).
- Eduardo Infante (4th licentiate degree in ADE): Spanish consulate in Sao Paulo (Brazil).
- Alfonso Megino (4th licentiate degree at Economics Bilingual): Spanish Consulate in Cape Town (South Africa).
- Marcos Lozano (3rd Double Degree in Economics and Bilingual Law): NH Hotels in Mexico City.
- Nicolás Román (3rd Double Degree in ADE and Bilingual Law): NH Hotels in Mexico City.
Fundación business University of Navarra, with 25 years of experience in the management internship program, coordinates four international scholarship programs. In total, around 200 grants were awarded last year for stays abroad, for a total amount of more than 500,000 euros.
In addition to the Global Internship Program, the Navarra scholarships(Government of Navarra) are awarded for internships outside Europe, in countries such as the USA, Taiwan, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, China, Vietnam, Singapore and Canada. It also manages the European Leonardo and Erasmus programs, mainly for stays in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy and Belgium.
