The President of the University of Navarra, Alfonso Sánchez - Tabernero, has appointed María Javier Ramírez as Vice-Dean of academic staff and research of the School of Pharmacy. position She replaces María Jesús Moreno, who has held this position since 2004.
María Javier Ramírez is Professor of Pharmacology. She graduated in Pharmacy from the University in 1990, where she also obtained her PhD with award Extraordinary. After doing her postdoctoral specialization at King's College London (UK), she joined the University in 1999 and the research center Applied Medicine of the University of Navarra (CIMA) in 2005. Since 2012 she is the director of the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the School of Pharmacy. Labors of management that she combines with the classes, both in the School of Pharmacy and Medicine, and with the research in Alzheimer's disease.
María Jesús Moreno has handed over the baton to continue with her work professor and research at the University. During her years at the helm of the Vice-Deanship, the pathway researcher has been created and consolidated for Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics students. This impulse of the School of Pharmacy in the research has been recognized with the accredited specialization of Excellence, granted by the Ministry, to the programs of doctorate "Medicines and Health" and "Physiology, Food and Health".
