Tecnun eRacing automotive team achieves second place in Montmeló

The Tecnun eRacing automotive team has achieved second place in the international university formula 1 competition held in Montmeló this past August. Tecnun students have obtained the best score among state universities and have achieved second place, behind the University of Bologna. In the competition they have faced 25 teams from 23 countries.

The Tecnun eRacing team, composed of 65 engineering students, is proud with the closing of the season and with the electric single-seater, designed and built from scratch this year. "We have made history within the team. We are very proud with the result. Three years ago we got our car to race for the first time in this competition and after much work, we can celebrate this victory, "says Eduardo Alava, student 3rd, who is grateful for the support of more than 65 companies that rely on the project and all alumni that have preceded them in this project. 

It should be noted that 65% of the participants are from Gipuzkoa, 11% from Navarre and there are students from other parts of Spain and abroad. The competition consists of a total of seven dynamic and static tests, which are evaluated over several days by experts from the automotive sector: Skidpad, Acceleration, Autocross, Endurance, Business Plan Presentation, Cost & Manufacturing and Engineering Design.
