"What I get most out of my work is having the feeling that I am contributing to Colombia's prosperity," says Laura Sancho, from Guipuzcoa and a former student of the Degree in Management Assistant. She has been working at the Vice-Presidency of International Office of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce since March 2017. She started with a scholarship from the Department of Development of San Sebastian and, after concluding it a few weeks ago, she has been offered a stable contract to stay.

Among his duties in the team is the promote, disseminate and organize international events that are of interest to entrepreneurs in Bogota and the region, or support the organization of meetings between nations that allow institutional rapprochement and disseminate business opportunities in different countries.

Although she would like to return to Spain in the future, she assures to be living an "incredible experience". Before "landing" in Colombia, Laura had done internships at the international law firm Hogan Lovells in Madrid and at BMW Ibérica, also in Madrid. But she says that after this immersion in the professional world "it was a good time" to go abroad and train away from home: "I have always been attracted to Latin America. When I applied for scholarship I based my decision more on the country and the experience I wanted to have than on business. Now I am aware of how lucky I have been to work in this organization.

Regarding the training received during her university years, she highlights what she learned in "Oral and written communication" and the skills she acquired to perform tasks in other languages, as well as digital tools or knowing how to prioritize and manage the information she receives.
