Sexual equality in the post-feminist era
The model of parity is outdated, argues Canadian psychologist Susan Pinker in the book La paradoja sexual, recently published in Spanish by Paidós. She proposes a "feminism of difference", which recognizes the distinction in qualities and preferences between one sex and the other. If they have effective freedom, women will follow their own paths, and the resulting disparity will be true equality. Pinker summarizes the conclusions of her study in the last chapter, from which we offer an excerpt.
