Tomás Soria (Chemistry 15) has focused his degree program to the field of research, for which he is doing a Master's Degree in Chemistry and Polymers at the UPV. From his time at the School of Sciences, he keeps some professors who taught him "to think" and not to stop asking why things happen.

- How did you receive the recognition of the extraordinary award of Degree?
Honestly, I did not expect it; so it was a great surprise that I celebrated with my family. It is the award for four years of work.

- What do you consider has helped you the most to obtain your good results in such a demanding Degree ?
Basically, the daily work . I try to keep my programs of study up to date, I don't like to leave it for the eve of the exam and, of course, if I have doubts, I ask. I also believe that my family environment has helped me, as well as the dedication of the teachers at degree program.

- Where are you going to direct your professional future now?
Now I am doing the Master's Degree of Chemistry and Polymers at the UPV in San Sebastian. When I finish I would like to do a doctorate. The truth is that I like the research and I hope to be able to combine it with the teaching, tomorrow.

- What has been for you the best and the hardest part of Degree at Chemistry?
The best thing about Degree was meeting professors who taught me to think, to ask myself why things happen. To this I must add other aspects that I consider very positive: the hours of laboratory -which fly when you like what you do-, the luck of having been student intern of group MIMED -with doctors who guided me very well-, and, of course, meeting very good friends. On the opposite side would be the time spent on the reports, which were heavy, and the fact of studying 4th year with the burden of the TFG on top of it.
