Professor Javier Otaduy is one of the coordinators of this work in which 583 authors from 33 countries have participated.
Next Wednesday, 27 November, the General Dictionary of Thomson Reuters/Aranzadi will be presented at the Pontifical University of the Holy Crossin Rome General Dictionary of Canon LawThe School from Canon Law of the University of Navarra and published by publishing house Thomson Reuters/Aranzadi. The first edition was launched in December 2012, and has already reached its second reprint.
The Dictionary contains 2,509 entries, of which 2,181 have content and 391 are mere references, written by 583 authors. It consists of seven volumes of 1,000 pages each.
Ten years have been invested in the preparation of this General Dictionary of Canon Law, which has been coordinated and directed by professors Javier Otaduy, Antonio Viana and Joaquín Sedano.
The Dictionary covers all aspects of Canon Law: Latin and Eastern law, codicial and extra-codicial law, current law and ius vetus, legal dogmatics and History of Law, sources and institutions.
This work aims to reach not only academics, but also lawyers in general, professionals in the canonical and judicial curia management assistant , and anyone interested in legal or ecclesiastical issues.
