The international outreach of the School Pharmacy grows by 15% this 2014-2015.
64 of its students are doing programs of study and internships abroad, and another 50 come to the academic center for training.
The international outreach of the School of Pharmacy has grown this 2014-2015 by 15% compared to the last academic year and by 23% compared to the data of 2012-2013. This year a total of 114 students have decided to continue training outside their country: 64 students from the academic center carry out their programs of study and internships at other universities and international institutions, while another 50 foreigners attend the campus in Pamplona.
Some of the destinations where students are continuing their training are the University of Hong Kong (China), Mersin Üniversitesi (Turkey), University College London (United Kingdom), Universidad Anáhuac (Mexico) or the University of Florida (United States). 25 of those who leave Spain to specialize at internship will be able to do so in hospitals, such as North Middlesex University Hospital (United Kingdom), Emory University Hospital (United States) or the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Toulouse (France); and pharmacy offices in Ireland, Italy or the British chain Green light Pharmacies.
Regarding international students, this year the Pharmacy School has students from France, United States, Ivory Coast, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. Twenty of them have come to do their internships and research, 16 students are from postgraduate program and the rest are studying the Degrees, Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics or the double degree Degree.
International vocationThe School of Pharmacy has more than 80 agreements with universities and international institutions for the exchange of programs of study and internships abroad.
According to Alfonso Vericat, director of development, "with the goal to offer the possibility of getting to know a new health system different from the Spanish one, to strengthen another language and this contributes to the staff and professional enrichment of student", the academic center offers various programs of programs of study abroad such as its two international diplomas, the International Pharmaceutical Certificate and the International Nutrition Certificate; the exchange Program of programs of study, to spend a semester or academic year away from your home university; the research Program and the Supervised Stays Abroad Program.
