Among the new features of this academic year it is worth mentioning the launching of the Master's Degree in research in Social Sciences, which has the direct partnership of the School of Communication, the School of Law, the School of Education and Psychology, the School of Nursing and the School of Philosophy and Letters. The new line of research 'Creativity and Cultural Heritage' will also be promoted and the transversal service of Statistics will be created, which will be directed by Full Professor Jesús López Fidalgo.

He has previously been an academic at Universidad de Los Andes (Chile) and IESE Business School. Carmen Sofía Brenes, PhD in Communication and professor at Universidad de Los Andes (Chile), will be a visiting researcher from August 2016 to February 2017.
Carolina Lupo, a graduate in Psychopedagogy and Master's Degree in Bioethics, joins 'Education de la afectividad y de la sexualidad humana'. Pedro de la Rosa, graduate in Medicine, joins the team to carry out his doctoral thesis .
The Navarra Center for International Development will have three new assistants at research: Alberto Cendoya, architect; Iván Kim Taveras, economist; and Juan Ángel Soto, graduate in Law.
